    This gives you time to ask questions and become familiar with Purr'n Pooch and our requirements. Reservations are advised and during the holidays are required for all of our services, including grooming, daycare, play sessions, training, transportation, massage therapy, and pet sitting. You may want to schedule a play session (daycare) to better acquaint your pet to Purr'n Pooch in advance of his/her initial stay.

• Admission

  Proof of immunization is required for both dogs and cats. All guests will be examined for ectoparasites and must be bathed, if found positive. Dog and cat evaluations are strongly recommended, prior to boarding. Please either bring, fax or email your pet's vaccination records prior to pet arrival:

• Arrival

  • Check-in is 12 pm. Please allow ample time to properly check-in.

  • Make the check-in time a happy time by staying calm and submitting your paperwork prior to arrival to minimize time spent checking in.

    Pets can often sense our anxieties and will equate check-in as a negative action rather than a positive fun time.

  • We supply pets with our premium house cuisine

    You may choose to provide your own food (at no additional charge)as long as each meal serving size is prepared in a separate plastic bag with your pet's name on it for the entire length of the stay. Try not to feed your pet a meal prior to check-in.

  • All bedding is laundered daily at Purr'n Pooch.

    We supply all bedding, bowls, and toys. If you feel more comfortable bringing an item from home with your "scent" on it, you can bring an old t-shirt or towel to help with the transition.

• Departure

  • After picking up your pet, please, do not offer food or water right away.

    Most pets are very excited to return home and will gulp water or engulf food. This could trigger a digestive upset, such as diarrhea or vomiting. If your pet appears thirsty, offer a few ice cubes in a bowl.

  • Upon arriving home, your pet may experience the "Purr'n Pooch Hangover".

    This state is the result of all the excitement, playing and fun they had while visiting us. It may be a day or two of relaxing and lounging around your home while they "recover" from their vacation at Purr'n Pooch.

    We will be happy to let you know in detail how your pet adjusted.

If your dog is on any medication, our specialists make sure prescriptions are administered on time and with the utmost care. Our pet care professionals will give your dog one-on-one attention and the socialization he or she needs to stay relaxed while you're not with them. Give your pooch a refreshing time in our dog swimming pools, or let your pet meet new friends at group playtime. Our services include all day playtime with breaktime for lunch, snacks and rest. It's easy for us – we love spending time with our new friends.

  • Proof of immunization for Rabies, Bordetella and DHLPP is required.

    Please consult your veterinarian concerning the Canine Influenza (H3N2) vaccination.

  • We strongly advise any shots be administered at least 5 days prior to arrival for maximum efficiency.

    They feature natural rock walls and waterfalls in the Tinton Falls resort and multi perched climbing walls in the Wall Township resort for their curiosity and pleasure. Our feline friends love to explore and play in their own 1,000 square foot environment. There are plenty of toys to play with and cozy places to enjoy a catnap in our cattery and spacious cat condos. Purr'n Pooch can accommodate your feline friend with all of his or her needs, including individual special diets and medications. It's clean, safe and secure space will give you a peace-of-mind that your pet is comfortable and enjoys plenty of human attention.

  • Not all dogs want group play and that is okay! We offer private play (daystay) with a team member for personal funtime.

    While you relax knowing your pet is enjoying the day in good hands, your furry friend runs, plays, and exercises for a tiring and fun-filled day at the Pooch. If your dog enjoys socializing with other canine friends, we have group doggie daycare. Your pet is evaluated for temperament and placed in a group according to size, age, and disposition. Once there, our staff supervises group play, schedules appropriate time-outs, and organizes fun-filled activities.

    We take pride that your pet is supervised by an experienced, professional team who are trained in dog body language and behavior.   • Purr'n Pooch offers aquatic exercise sessions in our indoor spa pool located in Wall, NJ.

    Our experienced pet care technicians will care and comfort your dog with ease and patience. Swimming, games, and other exercise routines are part of the fun as your friend learns to move and play gently in our warm, spa waters. Private sessions are available and the pool setting is calm and quiet – ideal for relaxation and rejuvenation.

  • Our Certified Pet and Dog Trainers (CPDT) specialize in household manners, everyday commands and prepares your dog to obey instructions at home, in public and around other dogs.

    Our animal behavior training uses a reward-based curriculum. Purr'n Pooch enjoys helping your pooch learn and grow!

• Purr'n Pooch Canine Academy

  • Purr'n Pooch offers a variety of instructional programs for canines.

    These include private and group classes and boarding school at the Academy. Classes are scheduled throughout the year. Please call for the latest class calendar or to schedule your private lesson.

• Puppy Basics Group Class

  10 weeks to 5 months.

  • Puppy Basics is an introductory class.

    It covers potty training, nutrition, bite inhibition, and basic obedience. This six week class will also address walking on leash, sit, down, stay and come.

• Mind Your Manners I

  5 months & older.

  • This six week class is for the adolescent or adult dog that needs "basic training".

    The manners taught include sit, down, stay, come, heel, leave/drop and how to politely greet strangers.

• Mind Your Manners II

  • A continuation of Mind Your Manners I, II addresses unwanted habits like jumping, mouthing and nipping while reinforcing basics.

    This six week class strengthens your dogs behavior to provide faster and more consistent responses.

• Out'n About

  • This six-week program takes your dog on the road to local attractions where proactive training is implemented to help overcome fear and anxiety in unfamiliar circumstances.

It can stop unruly, aggressive and agitated pets, protecting the people around them as well as the pets themselves. The Purr'n Pooch Pet Shield is used in all our playgrounds for control of safe play.
